A question in the comments section of Halieus Media’s post of January 24, 2018 containing images of the Feinstein/Schiff letter addressed to Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook and Jack Dorsey of Twitter prompted this update post. Thank you to Antenna Antagonist for asking the question. Dialogue is important.
It seems many Dems including Feinstein & Schiff have now viewed the 4-pg memo. They are now re-branding it “Republican talking points” in an effort to minimize the importance of the contents. Most Americans calling for #Releasethememo are not deceived by this thinly veiled attempt at steering the public’s attention away from their right to oversee the actions of their government. This applies to elected officials, political appointees and government employees.
#Releasethememo effort is a public demand for a 4-pg summarized memo believed to be based on a 99-pg opinion published by FISC Court Judge Rosemary Collyer April 26, 2017. (see above opening graphic) Many U.S. citizens have slogged their way through this 99-pg opinion and found very disconcerting language that seems to point to illegal proceedures and plans within the government to subvert, derail or sink the Donald J. Trump candidacy for President and his subsequent term commencing January 20, 2017.Represendative Adam Schiff, D is of the opinion the American people are not capable of understanding the summarized version because, “they do not have the underlying information.”
Experience tells us not everyone employed by the Federal government has the best interest of the Republic of the United States at heart. Benedict Arnold comes to mind.
To be sure, Americans who love this country and what it stands for, will not be distracted by the flim-flam of modern day carpet baggers. “Nothing to see here, move along.” is no longer sufficient. Infact and truth it is a clear signal to double-down and hold our elected official’s feet to the fire until our questions are answered.
#Releasethememo now has a cohort campaign entitiled #Notabot which began January 25, 2018 as a result of Feinstein and Schiff co-authored letter to Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook and Jack Dorsey of Twitter asking for company records identifying accounts who use and promote the hashtag #Releasethememo. The #Notabot campaign calls for “selfies” holding a sign which includes the hashtag #Notabot and their userID on Twitter, where the campaign is most vigorous. The campaign also calls for tweets to include both @SenDianneFeinstein and @RepAdamSchiff in the tweet. It is my opinion this campaign is a type of direct-action tactic in response to both Congressmen’s phones being put permenently on the “send to voicemail” function.
It remains to be seen, how effective these two campaigns are in making Congress and specifically the House Intelligence Committee aware of how serious Americans are regarding the way their government functions. Updates will certainly be forthcoming.
