Halieus Media: jn14
In an ever increasing encroachment on personal choice, jn 14 ran across this little gem this morning while doing background research.
Normally the top and bottom of the screenshot is cropped however; in this case it was left to show Glutoob clearly cannot get their algorithmic act together, or doesn’t want to. The head of the shot shows no VPN; bluetooth on to listen to the video, notifiers turned off, full reception, full battery and the timestamp on the left.
On the right is the cache cleanup and booster as well as a notification a backgrounded auto-login, failed. The bottom shows standard screen controls for video playback.
The browser is not Glu, it is a common water fowl. The search query pulled two videos from Glutoob. (yes, I have renamed this service appropriately) Earlier this morning the video service had toob’s homepage up and logged in as jn14. The login was left while researching news and is not the login failure noted in th top bar.
The browser has industry standard settings; this is set to “do not track” but is clearly not a “private browser” fork. Expect this to become standard practice in the coming year. Your choice of privacy options will either disappear or be rendered non-functional. Expect this on Glutoob, as well as T & F.
Have a nice day.
